Our client is a fast-growing North American consulting firm seeking a Senior Business Development Consultant to support their continued expansion across Canada. This unique opportunity allows you to apply your industry knowledge and network in a strategic, client-facing role involving some travel and consultative B2B sales.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you’ll lead the full client journey from prospecting and relationship development to engagement execution. You’ll act as a trusted advisor and liaison, coordinating internal resources and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Actively prospecting and identifying new client opportunities through your industry knowledge and network
Managing timelines, deliverables, and client communications throughout the engagement lifecycle
Traveling to meet clients, build relationships, and oversee key engagement milestones
Coordinating with legal counsel, financial institutions, and corporate partners as needed
Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry decision-makers
Reporting regularly to leadership and proactively identifying risks or roadblocks
Maintaining full confidentiality while navigating complex service engagements
What You Bring:
Proven success in high-value B2B sales or business development, ideally within consulting or advisory services
Deep understanding of the automotive industry, with strong knowledge of dealership operations.
Confidence in prospecting, initiating conversations, and building senior-level relationships
Exceptional communication, planning, and negotiation skills
A reputation for professionalism, trust, and discretion
Comfort with travel as required to support client relationships and business growth
Qualifications:
5+ years in the automotive industry or related field in a senior-facing role
Experience working with dealer principals, OEM representatives, or C-suite executives
Bachelor’s degree preferred; further education or certifications are a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $150,000.00-$350,000.00 per year
